Google Map Layout Showing Houses Paying & Not Paying for Security Fees

The above Google Map indicates the Bayu Perdana 2 Residents' House Nos. which pay for the security fees as well as those who do not pay or are unwilling to pay for security fees.

The security fees per month at the moment (as of  May 2011 onwards) is RM 130/month (previously it was RM 150/month) and residents are requested to pay 3 months in advance to minimise the collection rounds which Committee Members have to engage in the collection of security fees.

It is worth noting that since our Guarded Neighbourhood Scheme started as of 1 November 2010 with the hiring of security services for 2 security guards for 12-hourly night security patrol (from 7.00 pm to 7.00 am), there has never been any untowards incidents such as robberies or house break-ins. Thus each and everyone of the residents have been able to sleep peacefully without any fears.

The question now is 'Is it fair that 31 residents are paying for the security and well-being of all the 41 houses in our neighbourhood?' Of course, we all know that we cant force everyone to pay up but we know that we all live in a neighbourhood and community where everyone should contribute to the well-being and security of our neighbourhood right? What it boils down to is that the 31 nos. of paying residents are paying RM 130.00 each month for the well-being and security of all the 41 nos. of houses in our neighbourhood.

3 nos. of car -stickers  have been issued to each paying houses for the security guards to identify which are paying residents. Non-paying residents will not be prevented from entering the security barrier at the entrance but they will be required to open the barriers themselves as the guards are instructed not to provide any services to these non paying residents. They have been enjoying free security all these while at the expense of paying residents. It is hope that if all the occupied residents of the 41 houses pay up their dues, we might be able to reduce the security fees to around RM 90.00/month.

Our Committee Members have had 2 meeting with Bayu Perdana 1 Committee Members over the setting up of a joint Guarded and Gated neighbourhood scheme, but so far they have not been receptive to the suggestion and has imposed a number of conditions before agreeing to our suggestion. We hope to be able to have another round of discussions with them again after Hari Raya to make it a viable proposition to jointly write to the developer to build a joint guard house at Jalan Kenyalang 11/4 for both Bayu Perdana 1 & 2 residents and also the provision of including the new 23 bungalow houses scheme being built next to us.

We will update our residents when our endeavours to this end bears any fruits. Keep tuning in to this website until then!

Another Snatch Thief Incident

On 6th August, one of our new would-be neighbour (No. 19, Jln. Kenyalang 11/4C) became the victim of a snatch thief incident. In this incident, she had just came back into her new house at around 3.42 pm and was inside her house. However, at about 3.52 pm, a motorcyclist came by her house to tell her that he is sending something to her house. She was puzzled and called her husband on the telephone to check whether he is aware of what this motorcyclist is talking about. When she passed her handphone over to the motorcyclist to talk to her husband on the telephone, the motorcyclist snatch the handphone away and sped off on his motorcycle.

The above is a screen capture of the motorcyclist coming over to her house. We hope that everyone in our neighbourhood will be on the alert for any motorcyclist or suspicious character using this same trick. Please be on the lookout for any suspicious guy and if in doubt, please to do not hesitate to call the Police Station in Kota Damansara (Tel : 03-6142 1222) to check out any suspicious character loitering aroing our neighbourhood or outside your house. They will be obligated to check out the situation.

5th Dengue Fever Cases in Bayu Perdana 2 Vicinity

Just to report that there were 4 nos. of Dengue Fever cases 2 weeks ago involving 3 houses in our neighbourhood. Last week, I was the 5th Dengue Fever victim, but fortunately, my Dengue Fever only lasted 4 days and I recovered without being admitted into any hospital, except to have my blood test taken each day to monitor the platelet count. It was 120 on 3rd day, 94 on 4th day, 69 on 5th & 6th day, 63 on 7th day, then 99 on 8th day. By the 4th day, my fever and muscle aches had disappeared and I managed to recover back to my normal strength. I still believe the source of all this Aedes mosquitoes breeding ground is the water retention pond built by the developer next to our housing area. Mosquito Breeding Grounds

I remember the time when we first moved into our neighbourhood 2 years ago in July 2009. At that time, there was relatively not many mosquitoes.  Then came the earthworks which commenced somewhere around the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010 to prevent mudslides from flowing down the road into our neighbourhood housing area below (D'Villa vicinity).

Since the construction of the retention ponds to prevent mudlfows whenever it rains heavily, our neighbourhood has been besiged by the relentless growth & multiplication of mosquitoes. I believe the retention pond in the construction site at the hillside next to our neighbourhood (pls. see photo above marked in red) has caused the mosquitoes numbers to multiply many many fold. This is causing worries & anxieties to many of us about the spread of Aedes mosquitoes.

Maybe someone need to complain to the local authorites (MBPJ) Health Division about this nuiisance mosquito breeding ground to arrest and contain this health menace!

House Break-In @ 2.00 pm 24 April 2011 (Sunday)

Dear Residents,

A house break-in happened around 2:00 pm, Sunday, 24 April, 2011 (Look at the date & time at the bottom of each snapshot picture when my house CCTV was replayed & paused). It happened to Mr. James Leong's house, 11, Jln. Kenyalang 11/4C, which is just next to Jeffrey Ooi's house (2 doors away from my house).

His alarm went off around that time, and he reach home about 10 min. after the break-in. I think he also got a call from Mr. Jeffrey Ooi about his house alarm setting off.

From my CCTV video replay, I think there were 2 cars involved in the break -in, First of all the dark-colour Proton Persona which was driven by a lady with a tudung I guess (cant see clearly from my CCTV camera angle) will stop at their targetted house (occupied but owner not in) to ring the door bell to confirm that the owner is not in. After that, it could be that the 1st car will call the 2nd BMW car within the same vicinity to come & break-in. This is my theory judging from my CCTV sequence of the time & movement of the 2 cars recorded.

It was fortunate that Mr. James Leong came back after his handphone was alerted by the house alarm & came back to check. He saw some guys jump over to the next door fence (unoccupied house) when he arrived. I think they must have left coolly after taking his laptop, passport, and some other items as the Proton Persona on the lookout must have alerted them about the return of James Leong.

Please be on the look out for any suspicious car like those in the pictures esp. during the day time when there is no security guard.

So far, I think 4 houses in my row (Jln.Kenyalang 11/4C)  have CCTVs (Edward Lu, mine, Jeffrey Ooi & Mr. Thomas Wong) Please let us know if others also have CCTVs so that we can form a useful network to record any incidents like these and replay them for evidence when needed. Mine has the storage capacity to store about 2 and the half months recordings (1 TerraByte hard disk). Mind you most of our CCTVs are only PAL 4 CIF resolution which is only 704 x 576 pixels (not clear enough to capture details like car plate nos). Only the latest new HD (High Definition) CCTVs in the market can capture those details @ 1920 x 1200 pixels resolutions but will take much much bigger storage and cost many times more than our ordinary PAL analog CCTVs.

This is the 2nd incident of house break-in in our neighbourhood. The 1st incident happened to our 1st resident, Pn. Anita on the 24 July, 2009, a day before the 3 of us neighbours (Jaseni, myself & Jeffrey) moved in.
